ABOUT Spring Creek Greenway

THE SPRING CREEK GREENWAY will connect and protect up to 12,000 acres of Piney Woods along both sides of Spring Creek, preserving an ecological gem and providing a venue for outdoor recreation, education and ecotourism beginning just a few miles from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The Spring Creek Greenway is the result of the cooperative efforts of visionary public officials and
conservationists, supported by hardworking staff members, volunteers, and private and public contributors
of land and funds over a twenty year period. Those who have been instrumental include:

Harris County Precinct 4 Commisioner Jerry Eversole

Montgomery County Precinct 3 Commisioner Ed Chance

Corps of Engineers Galveston District

Harris County Flood Control District

Others contributing include Houston Audubon Society, The Trust for Public Land, Texas Parks &
Wildlife, Texas Master Naturalists, Montgomery County Parks Department, and many other
organizations and businesses. For more information, contact Legacy Land Trust at 713/524-2100,
or visit www.llt.org, www.springcreekgreenway.org and www.springcreekgreenwayfoundation.org.
